KMOS PBS is a non-profit public media organization owned and operated by the University of Central Missouri, a not-for-profit public university in the state of Missouri. All transactions are governed by the laws of the state of Missouri. All donations to KMOS PBS are through the University of Central Missouri Foundation, a 501c3 non profit organization (https://www.ucmfoundation.org/) with all funds going directly to the operation of KMOS PBS.

Donations

Any payment made to KMOS is considered a donation. KMOS reserves the right to cancel any donations and memberships and to block future donations from individuals.

Thank-you gifts

KMOS may provide “thank you gifts” at certain donation levels. These are not purchased items but KMOS PBS’ way of saying thank you for your donation. KMOS will endeavor to send out thank you gifts as promptly as possible and notify you of delays as they arise. For installment pledge donations, thank you gifts may be delayed until a minimum number of payments are made to the pledge.

Privacy Information

KMOS is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors.

KMOS may collect the following information.

• Contact information: name, organization/company, complete address, phone number, email address.
• Donation information: amounts donated, date of donation(s), method and what made you want to donate.
• Information concerning hours you have volunteered
• Your requests and comments.
• Information gathered from database modeling firms
• Non-personally identifiable information, such as how many hits each KMOS website page receives, and if the visitor is repeat or new. This requires that a ‘cookie’ be sent to your web browser.

How does KMOS use this information.

• KMOS may use your data to maintain records of donations, send acknowledgements, mail year-end tax statements to you, send newsletters, notices, and direct mail pieces, and for internal marketing purposes.

Sharing of KMOS donor personal information.

• KMOS will not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your information to unaffiliated organizations. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of KMOS and only to further the mission of KMOS. Nevertheless, security measures may not prevent all losses, and KMOS is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures.

SMS/Text Information

KMOS employs SMS/Text services for inbound communications.  

KMOS will not actively enroll you or text you without your permission. If you do engage with KMOS through SMS/Text, any communications from KMOS will be for informational purposes.  

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which will not be shared with any third parties.
