Keeping Up Appearances Christmas Specials

In the first of the Christmas specials, Hyacinth roars into the Christmas season. She manages to get poor Richard into a Father Christmas outfit but then has to confront "Daddy," who is making passes at the parish ladies in the church rectory.

The Tidings

The Tidings, "A Christmas Concert for Troubled Times," is a cantata composed by Paul Van Ness that reflects on a darker side of the Christmas story. Recorded live at the Cabot Theater in Beverly, Massachusetts, the beautiful musical meditation draws from the story in the Book of Matthew.

Celebrate & Sing! Glory to the Newborn King!

This spectacular Christmas concert of secular and sacred music is under the direction of Steven R. Jobman and performed by the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church's renowned 150-voice Sanctuary Choir, orchestra, and Organist/Artist-in-Residence, Bradley Hunter Welch.

 Highlights include: a lighthearted take on "Flight of the Bumblebee," the solemn French carol "Pat-a-pan," "March of the Toys" from the operetta Babes in Toyland, Chopin's "Valse Brilliante," and an instrumental version of "Silent Night."

St. Thomas Christmas: Bloom Eternal

An hour-long performance special that celebrates the Advent and Christmas season by drawing from both familiar traditional carols and innovative contemporary selections. This year offers a specifically commissioned piece for the concert, "Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming" by Roger Cichy.
