For the first time since 1984 the Mules basketball team has, alone, won the MIAA regular season title and SPORTSPAGE will be there as they wrap up the regular season and push towards a tournament and regional championship. Shawn Jones and Kim Anderson will look back at a pair of road games for the Mules and look ahead to a special Saturday at the multi. The basketball jennies are getting hot at the right time of the year and Head Coach Dave Slifer will return to dissect his surging jennies. SPORTSPAGE spotlights the dynamic duo at the off-guard position for the Mules and shares some final thoughts with wrestling coach Robin Ersland.

Only 5 games remain in the regular season for UCM hoops and SPORTSPAGE is there for the final push towards the NCAA's. Host James Sales, filling in for Shawn Jones, welcomes Mules Head Coach Kim Anderson back to the show. The winningest coach in UCM basketball's rich history will dissect Wednesday's road tilt at Washburn and look ahead to a huge Saturday matchup at Ft. Hays. Jennies Bowling is on a short break and Head Coach Ron Holmes is back in studio to break down the young jennies squad. SPORTSPAGE Spotlights a special evening honoring Kim and Kathy Anderson and goes inside with the lone Senior on the Jennies Bowling squad.

Hard to believe, but March madness is approaching and the Mules and Jennies basketball squads are both jockeying for MIAA and NCAA tournament position. Shawn Jones welcomes Kim Anderson back to the show as the basketball Mules are now leading the MIAA heading into a weekend bye. Dave Slifer returns to SPORTSPAGE to dissect the Jens Wednesday tilt against #5 Emporia St. SPORTSPAGE spotlights Mules Mr. versatility, Senior Tremaine Luellen and Jennies dynamic Junior guard Danielle Shows.

All the UCM Winter sports squads are in full swing and SPORTSPAGE is the only place that covers them all! Shawn Jones welcomes back Mules Head basketball coach Kim Anderson. The Mules return home to the multi this weekend after three straight road tests and are still in contention for the MIAA regular-season crown. Co-head track and field coach Kip Janvrin makes his first appearance of 2010, the mules and jennies thin-clads kicked off the indoor portion of their schedule last week in Warrensburg. SPORTSPAGE spotlights Mules all-american forward Sanijay Watts and Jennies national champion track star Anne Carlson.

Familiar faces return to regular places as SPORTSPAGE warms up with a full slate of Winter sports action! Host Shawn Jones returns to visit with Mules Head Coach Kim Anderson. The basketball mules swept a pair of games at home last week and look to continue to stay in the hunt for an MIAA crown with a victory at Truman. Robin Ersland is in his final campaign as bench-boss for the UCM grapplers and he makes his first appearance of 2010 to break down Mules wrestling. SPORTSPAGE spotlight's the 28th coach in Mules football history and goes in-depth with All-American wrestler Cory Bloodgood.

Happy New Year! Time to tip off another exciting season of SPORTSPAGE on KMOS-TV. Host Shawn Jones is off tending to NCAA duties, but Producer James Sales will keep the seat warm for Shawn as he guest hosts the season opener. The basketball Mules continue to sit near the top in the national polls and Head Coach Kim Anderson sits in to dissect Wednesdays matchup against Northwest and look ahead to next week's MIAA matchups at home and on the road. Jennies bench-boss Dave Slifer makes his season debut as his Jennies try and extend their two-game MIAA winning streak. SPORTSPAGE spotlights Mules senior floor-general Alex Moosman and Jennies senior inside/outside threat Meghan Waggoner.

That's a wrap! Hard to believe, but it's the final episode before we return January 14 for our Winter/Spring episodes. Shawn Jones welcomes Kim Anderson back to the show to look ahead at the Mules non-conference and MIAA schedules. Robin Ersland is in his final season as the leader on the mats for the wrestling Mules, and he'll be in-studio to break down this years grapplers. We will spotlight two senior hoop standouts in swingman Tremaine Luellen and sharp-shooter Brittney Slifer.

It's hardwood heaven this week as basketball season tips off for the Mules and Jennies. Shawn Jones leads off this week with Mules Head Coach Kim Anderson. The basketball Mules opened the exhibition season in style and begin their regular season in just a week. Jennies head coach Dave Slifer returns to break down the 2009-10 Jens as they look forward to the tip of their regular season as well. We take a look back at a Mules football season full of highlights and spotlight's Jennies Senior volleyball standout Caitlin Pankratz.

Shawn Jones welcomes Willie Fritz back to break down last Saturday's Senior-Day victory over Southern and look ahead to this Saturday's momentous tilt in Maryville against Northwest. Jennies volleyball will celebrate Senior night Wednesday and we will be there to bring you highlights from the MIAA-leading Jens match versus Truman St. along with a visit from bench-boss Flip Piontek. The spotlight is on Jennies super-sophomore spiker Paula Harris and gets some final thoughts from the Mules football seniors.

10/29/09 Only two games remain and the football Mules are in prime position for their first postseason appearance since 2002. Shawn Jones welcomes Willie Fritz back to dissect last Saturday's huge road win at UNO and look ahead to this Saturday's senior-day showdown against Missouri Southern. Mules bench-boss Kim Anderson makes his 2009 debut. His Mules are coming off a second final four appearance in three years and are pre-season #3 in the nation. Spotlight: Mules Junior record-breaking quarterback Eric Czerniewski and gets an inside look at Jennies hoops for 2009-10 with Head Coach Dave Slifer.

10/15/09 The Mules and Jennies have made the turn in the conference schedule and are all in the hunt for a MIAA crown and a spot in the postseason. Willie Fritz returns to look back at last weeks homecoming thumping of Ft. Hays and look ahead at this week's featured matchup in Division 2 football as the Mules head to St. Joe to battle Missouri Western. Jennies Head Soccer Coach Lewis Theobald makes his season debut to dissect the Jennies run at another MIAA Championship. SPORTSPAGE spotlights Mules Senior defensive lineman Marc Tiernan and re-caps a special Fall for Mules with Golf Coach Tim Poe and Justin Yoder.

Hays St. Jones welcomes UCM Distinguished alum and ESPN VP Bryan Burns to talk about his work on the national sports scene. Spotlight on Mules Junior linebacker Cody Scribner and air a special spotlight highlighting Distinguished alum Bryan Burns.

9/24/09 The UCM Mules are undefeated through four weeks after coming off a huge home victory over Pitt St. and Shawn Jones welcomes Willie Fritz back to dissect last Saturday's victory over Pitt St. and look ahead to this Saturday's huge matchup against Washburn in Topeka. The Mules golf team is off to a fast start coming off a conference title and head coach Tim Poe makes his initial appearance to preview the Fall and Spring seasons. Spotlight is on Mules Senior defensive-end Mike Martin and Mules Junior Golfer Matt Miller.
