2017 KMOS PBS KIDS WRITERS CONTEST

We thank everyone who submitted stories to this annual celebration of writers and readers everywhere! Congratulations to the young writers listed below, as their stories were chosen by our judges as outstanding in each age group. We invite you to read each of the stories linked below today - and check back this summer to see videos of each author reading their story.

At the recent reception for the finalists, we realized that the 2017 contest yielded over 150 entries from 27 towns, 12 first-time winners and 3 returning winners. One family had a new winner with two siblings being previous winners, and four-time time winner with Karsten of Stover - he is also a two-time national winner.

We also wish to give a big "thank you" to Scholastic for sponsoring the 2017 KMOS Kids Writers Contest!

For more information about this contest or any of KMOS Outreach Activities, please contact Mary Clevenger.
