MHz Worldview features international programming

KMOS is pleased to present programming unique to a Missouri audience through a service known as MHz Worldview, a national, independent, non-commercial channel presenting fresh, relevant English-language international content including news, documentaries, dramas, mysteries, music and sports. The programming is provided by MHz Networks, an independent, non-commercial television broadcaster delivering international educational and arts programming and providing diverse cultural perspectives for a globally-minded audience.
Known for its 'Programming for globally-minded people,' MHz Worldview serves as a liaison in bringing programs and understanding from around the world to American audiences. With a belief in promoting and illuminating world awareness, MHz Worldview proudly delivers a wide range of world dynamics, showing all the world has to offer, direct from the source, without political or commercial confines.
MHz Worldview content stems from prominent broadcasters such as: AFL, ANI, Beijing TV, Deutsche Welle, EuroNews, FCI, France 24, MAC TV, NHK, NTA, Press Media International Group, Russia Today and SABC, as well as local/independent producers and MHz original productions.
News - Unfiltered and representative of the world dynamic, international news originates with broadcasters directly from France, Germany, India, Japan, the Middle East, South Asia, Russia and Taiwan, as well as South Africa and Nigeria.
Documentaries - A wide array of international documentaries spanning a magnitude of world issues in the Eye Openers. Local producers also provide diverse content aimed at inspiring and educating a globally-minded audience.
Drama & Films - A vibrant selection of short films, narratives and dramas from Japan, Italy, Russia, India and more pepper the schedule. Most notably, Octopus airing on Version Originale.
Foreign Affairs - Dialogue, produced in partnership with the non-partisan Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars reaches below the surface to cultural underpinnings from which political thought flows. The host, George Liston Seay, interviews world opinion leaders ranging from top scholars and authors to politicians and royalty. In a talk show format, Viewpoint with James Zogby, focuses on international affairs. Dr. Zogby and his guests discuss Middle East issues and the global political and cultural landscapes and also open the floor to viewer questions.
International Mysteries - Featuring the best in super sleuths from throughout the globe, these iconic detective series bring viewers to the investigative and exploratory worlds of Maigret, Montalbano, Scene of the Crime and Homicide Squad, to name just a few.
