Working hours:20 hours per week; Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some nights/weekends/holidays may be required

Position Purpose: The part time multimedia producer at KMOS-TV is responsible for all aspects of video production as assigned by the Manager of Television and Community Programs. This person will be skilled in videography, non-linear editing, writing, graphic production and television directing and producing. This person will ensure that KMOS and UCM productions are exported to the appropriate website and social media sites. This person will ensure that all productions aired on KMOS-TV meet PBS and FCC guidelines. This person will supervise part-time and student producers during productions.
Education & Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism or related field. Education can be substituted for experience or experience can be substituted for education based on the following equivalencies: AA= 2 years; BA/BS = 4 years; MA/MS = 6 years; PhD = 8 years. May 2014 graduates will be considered.
- Four (4) years experience in the area of television production.
- Two (2) years experience working with FCC & PBS rules/regulations regarding underwriting and national broadcast.
- Prefer public television experience.
- Prefer AVID experience.
- Experience producing multimedia sporting events preferred.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements: Driver's license

Special Working Conditions Excessive standing and/or walking, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals, Exposure to heights, Exposure to loud noises, Lifting (weight) - 50 lbs. Professional appearance required. Travel required for field work and video/audio production done at a location away from KMOS. Work in stressful conditions – including Live Broadcasts.
