On Wednesday, September 10, 2008, our friend and co-worker Fred Hunt passed away, the cause was a sudden heart attack. It is a shock to all of us who worked with him, and we will miss him greatly. He worked with a great many students and staff members over the years, and I ask that you spread the news to others who knew him.
Family visitation was held Sunday, September 14th at Sweeny Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
During this same time, KMOS had a camera crew at the station for those who worked with him over the years to record their memories for the family, and an on-air tribute to air on University Magazine.
The funeral was Monday, September 15th at Sweeny Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Friends of the family at Powell Gardens created this memorial (.pdf, 3.46 MB)
For over 25 years Fred worked with and was a friend to a great many students at the university, many of whom still keep in touch. If you are among those who worked with Fred, please contact us. We would be happy to send your messages on to his family.
