The Adirondacks
Sprawled across six million acres in upstate New York, the Adirondack Park is by far the largest park in the lower 48 states. Yet it is the only one on the continent in which large human populations live and whose land is divided almost evenly between protected wilderness and privately owned tracts. This patchwork pattern of land ownership has created an utterly unique place that maintains, at its very heart, a delicate and dynamic relationship between progress and preservation.

Ayo Live in Monte Carlo
Singer Ayo was taped in performance at the world famous Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo in August 2007. The special includes guest appearances by Laurent Korcia as well as Les Solistes de Monte Carlo, directed by conductor Jean-Louis Dedieu. Ayo meets with Monaco's Princess Stephanie and shares stories about their mutual involvement in various children's causes around the world.

Demystifying Dyslexia
An estimated 10 to 15 percent - one in every 10 Americans - suffers to some degree from dyslexia, an often misunderstood learning difficulty characterized by problems with word recognition and poor spelling. Hosted by Olympic champion Bruce Jenner, Demystifying Dyslexia profiles inspiring individuals confronting the challenges of living with dyslexia.

Depression: Out of the Shadows
By weaving together the history, science and treatment of depression with intimate portrayals of families and individuals coping with its wide-ranging effects, this documentary will provide a comprehensive portrait of depression never before presented on American television. The 30-minute discussion, moderated by Jane Pauley, immediately following the documentary will bring together a panel of experts and community activists to discuss the issue further.

Camelot

The New York Philharmonic performs a semi-staged version of the Lerner and Loewe's musical about the idealized kingdom of Camelot and the love triangle of King Arthur, Queen Guenevere and Sir Lancelot.

Mothers and Sons: Raising Compassionate Men
This program explores the powerful bond between mothers and sons, and the important role that bond can play in helping a boy develop compassion and empathy as he grows into a man. A moving testament to the lasting influence of a parent's love, the program features a diverse group of mother-son pairs discussing their relationships and sharing touching stories of their successes and struggles.

National Memorial Day Concert
PBS will unite our nation in honor of all of America's men and women in uniform for their service and sacrifice with this annual presentation. The event will be led for the third year by co-hosts Gary Sinise ("CSI NY") and Tony Award-winner Joe Mantegna ("Criminal Minds"), two acclaimed actors who have dedicated themselves to veterans' causes and supporting our troops in active service.

Superfish

They are the billfish - marlin, sailfish, spearfish and swordfish - largest and most highly prized of all gamefish. Their astonishing story has never been fully told. Lord of the Ants

While studying ants, E.O. Wilson is an icon of our times: a lord of the ants who sought to explain nature on earth ... and who now fights for its survival.

Phoenix Mars Mission: Ashes to Ice
This program chronicles the story of the Phoenix Mars Lander, which launched in August 2007 and is scheduled to land on the Martian surface on May 25, 2008. After touchdown, the lander will collect soil and ice samples to search for trace organics and for evidence of how water has changed the subsurface environment. The scientists hope to determine where the water on Mars went.

SS United States: Lady in Waiting
The tale of the fastest ocean liner in the world-ever. America's flagship-the SS United States. Retired in 1969 and lying derelict at a pier in Philadelphia, there are now plans by a Norwegian Cruise Line to refit her as a modern day state-of-the-art cruise ship.

Struggling in Silence
Every year, nearly 400 physicians - the equivalent of two to three medical school classes - take their own lives. Struggling in Silence explores this alarming trend. Through touching and sometimes tragic stories, the documentary explores the effect of depression and suicide on a diverse group of physicians, medical students, their families and entire communities. May 16 at 7 p.m.
